The reason for this notice

The methods of administering this website with regard to the treatment of the personal data of visiting users who consult it are described on this page.

This is the Privacy Notice pursuant to Art. 13 of UE Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR) to those who interact with the website:

www.alfasigma.com owned and run by Alfasigma S.p.A. The information notice is made available only for the site www.alfasigma.com and not for any other websites that may be consulted by the user via links.

The Privacy Notice is also in compliance with Raccomandazione n. 2/2001 Recommendation No. 2/2001 for the protection of personal data which the European authorities, meeting as the Group established by article 29 of the Directive No. 95/46/EC, adopted on May 17, 2001 with the aim of identifying certain minimum prerequisites for the collection of personal data online and, in particular, the methods, times and nature of the information that the data controller must provide to users when the latter connect to web pages, irrespective of the purposes of the connection.

Type of data processed

a) Browsing Data

The digital systems and the software procedures assigned to the functioning of this website acquire, in the course of their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is inherent in the use of the Internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified interested parties but, by its very nature, it could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, enable the identification of users.

This category of data includes the IP addresses or the domain names of the computers of users who connect to the site, the addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of the reply data from the server (correct outcome, error, etc.) and other parameters regarding the operating system and the digital environment of the user. These data are used for the sole purpose of extracting anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its proper functioning. These data are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain liability in the event of any digital crimes perpetrated to the detriment of the site: apart from this eventuality, the data on web contacts are currently retained for no more than seven days.

b) Data provided by Data Subject

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses shown on this website, data filled into information and contact form, newsletter registration, leads to the acquisition of the sender's address, which is required to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data submitted by email or web forms. In addition, the pages of the website through which the user's personal data are acquired always contain specific information notices, supplementing this notice, in order to make known to the user the purposes, methods and other details about the treatment the company intends to make of any personal data provided by the user through these pages.

c) Cookies

By using our website the data subject declares to accept and consent to the use of cookies in accordance with the terms and purposes described in our Cookie Cookie Policy

Voluntary data provision

Except for what has been specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide personal data, i.e. electronic mail to the addresses shown on this website, data filled into information and contact form, newsletter registration. Failure to provide this data may cause the impossibility for the request to be met.

Data processing methods

Personal data are processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. Specific security measures are followed in order to prevent data loss, illegal or improper use and unauthorized access.

Transfers of personal data to third countries

Management and storage of personal data shall be in servers of Data Controller or third party appointed as Data Processor, located in European Union. Data are not transferred outside European Union. However, the Controller has the right to change the servers’ location inside the European Union and/or in Countries Extra-UE. In the latter case, the Controller assures that Extra-UE data transfer shall be in full compliance with articles 44 and following of the Regulation, and will provide appropriate safeguards by contractual clauses between the Controller and the recipient of the personal data in the third country which include a description of adequate security measures.

Data subjects rights

We inform you that at any time in relation to your data, you can exercise the rights under articles 15, 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 of the GDPR. In detail: a. You have the right to obtain from the Company confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and the following information:

  • The purposes of data processing;
  • The categories of personal data concerned;
  • The recipients or categories of recipient to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, in particular recipients in third countries or international organisations;
  • The period for which the personal data will be stored;
  • Where the personal data are not collected from the data subject, any available information as to their source;
  • The existence of automated decision-making, and, at least in those cases, meaningful information about the logic involved;
  • When personal data are transferred to a third country or to an international organization the appropriate safeguards pursuant to Article 46 relating to the transfer;

b. Moreover you have the right of the:

  • Access, update, rectification, integration or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing of personal data concerning the data subject or to object to such processing;
  • Obtain the data portability;
  • Withdraw consent to the processing of personal data, if applicable;
  • To lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.;

In order to exercise your rights, please contact the data Controller with a written, dated and signed request, sent to the company's attention, at the following address privacy@alfasigma.com or sending a request to Data Protection Officer at the following address: privacydpo@alfasigma.com. The company shall provide information on action taken on a request under Articles 15 to 22 to the data subject without undue delay and in any event within one month of receipt of the request. That period may be extended by two further months where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of the requests. The company shall inform the data subject of any such extension within one month of receipt of the request, together with the reasons for the delay.

Privacy notice amendments

The present Privacy Notice could be amended. It is suggested to verify the current Privacy Notice, referring to the last update version.
